The weekend turned out to be a huge success. We had a great group of artists showing with us: Mary Ann Blythe, Sandy Clarke, James Culligan, Elaine Davidson, Eleanor Pauling, Jennifer Prior, Paul Smutylo, Susan Sparks (all from the Owen Sound area), Susan Lewis from Kitchener, Lorrie St. Amour and Harry Taylor from Kemble and Eldora Taylor from Meaford. There were approximately four hundred people who toured the Highland Manor and strolled the gardens viewing the artistic displays. A special thanks to Eleanor and James for coordinating this great weekend. Hopefully it will become a yearly tradition during Doors Open Owen Sound.
We are now gearing up for five days on Manitoulin Island with a group of local artists and are looking forward to be inspired by the awesome landscape. Plein air painting is the best way to paint.
Shortly after our return, we will be heading over to Meaford for our two-day showing in Meaford Hall July 7 and 8. This will be our main event this year and we are looking forward to revealing our latest masterpieces. Here is a tip for wise investors...make your grandchildren rich by buying a Martin or Barrett now while they are still affordable!
